So I've been working with some other people over the internet, and we agreed that we should make an online film festival for the average person making youtube videos. Well, here's the website, so check it out and get the word out!

Quick Updates
First off, Happy Independence Day America!
Now, I just wanted to let you all know that most of the aforementioned festivals I've submitted to so far have confirmed that the entry has arrived, so I'm just waiting on three to confirm that they've received the DVD. Also, the terror film festival has a site with all the submitted films, and "Manhunter" is a part of it! Check it out here. Well that's all for today, I'm still trying to figure out how to do screen shots on Final Cut Pro.

Finished!
Well, after about 1 month of editing, I think that I finished the final copy of "Manhunter"! Just in time for the Lisbon Film Festival Deadline too! So right now I'm converting it to a good format for internet to upload it to "Reelport", a cool online film festival site that lets you submit to festivals online without any mail submissions. Just to let you know that its good, I watched it about 4 times today just to make sure the audio and video looked and sounded as good as I possibly could get them, and, well, it passed my very judgemental eye. There still might be extremely minor changes as I see new problems, but after watching it about 30 times in all, I think everything that I've salvaged the maximum I could from the useable footage. So now I'll mostly just be keeping updates on showings and festivals. Once I can figure out how to do screenshots from the movie in Final Cut Pro, I'll get some of those up. The total running time is 12 minutes and 48 seconds. If anyone would be willing to help me get a showing in their town, just leave a comment below with your email or some way to contact you and hopefully we could arrange something!

Reactions
Ok, while the whole thing isn't completely done yet, I have had a few people look at the rough cuts that are pretty close to what the actual thing is going to look like. I think so far, everyone has thought the ending was really good, and the beginning sets it up great. No one has said they don't like it, so this is giving me some hope for getting it in some film festivals! Today, I'm going to submit it to the Woodstock Film Festival in New York under the "Youth/Teen" category, so hopefully I'll get in there!

Done! (Kinda)
Ok, so today I finally finished the rough cut of Manhunter, and man, its looking pretty good. Some kinks need to be worked out, but for the most part, its all coming together pretty nicely. Here are some things that need to be done...
- Minor Tweaks: Just making sure the clips look and sound as good as possible
- Color Correct: Basically change some of the colors so they aren't so bright and stuff
- Finish Scoring it: I think this is mostly done, but my musician might have a different song for me
- Fix Audio: Basically this is making sure the audio sounds good from one scene to the other
- Test Screening: I'm gonna have some friends over and see what they think of it, so I'll know what more to change
- Add the credits: Straightforward in itself, but I'll have to make sure I remember everyone
After all that, I should be done, and I'll start submitting it to some film festivals. I'm hoping to at least get into one so I can have the experience.

Sorry...
Sorry for no updates for the last week, but I've been pretty busy. I've got part of the movie edited, but the past few days I've been on vacation, that doesn't mean that I didn't think about it though. I bought a book called "How Not to Make a Short Film" and read it cover to cover. This really helped me think of what I need to reconsider when editing it. And well, I'm thinking it'll be the better. Keep here for updates!

Ready to Edit!
Today I finished all my filming, so all there is to do now is edit. I'm already re-working the opening sequence with music, and let me tell you, it's gonna be good. I'll keep you updated with more information. Now, a story that shows how much I love you, my viewers.
While filming last Sunday in the desert, some chiggers got to my legs (as well as those of my dads and some of my actors), now if you're unfamiliar with these specimen, then let me explain what they do. When the bite, it itches... terribly, and supposedly it should last for a few weeks. This means that every day for the last week, I've been applying different types of anti-itch medications constantly in order to quell the storm. Not much luck...
Also, the desert contains TONS of weeds, most of which ended up in my socks, forcing me to pull each little prick out individually. These things annoy the hell out of you after a few minutes, and after filming about 9 hours in the desert, I decided that no following film will contain scenes from this location. Period. But, the movie will turn out pretty good, so keep waiting for updates!

Almost done!
I just finished filming the last scene yesterday, and all we need now is two more clips that we lost in the transition of transferring the data to the computer. I'll be getting used to Final Cut Pro the next few days, so it may be another week or two before I get a teaser trailer up.

4/5 Filmed

Updates Galore!
Two things are needed to be said. First, we finished our 3rd filming date on Sunday, and some of the effects are going to look great on film! I also edited another scene. Second, I'm gonna completely re-edit the film... why? Because I'm getting Final Cut Pro!! That's right, this film is going to be edited on a professional editing software used by the Coen Brothers and many more filmmakers.

2/5 Done!
Just filmed the second of 5 days that we're planning on filming. The schedule is so delicate that it could go either way. If one day gets moved, then either we'll have to do a ton of catch up another day or it doesn't get made. This scene is looking pretty good, in a week or two a trailer should be up...
